Ernesto Che Guevara was a physician, a guerrilla leader, an author, a revolutionary man, an eternally loved transgenerational myth, and a symbol of freedom beyond any political belief and ideological stance. Currently, 50 years after his death, a series of initiatives have been organized to honor his memory. Among them is an exhibition entitled: “Che Guevara. Tu y todos” scheduled from December 6th to April 1st, 2018 (90 years after his birth) at the Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan (Via Giulio Cesare Procaccini, 4). On display, thousands of documents and archive materials from the Che Guevara Studies Center in Havana, which firstly depict the man and then the historical figure. All displayed in 1000 sqm forming the portrait of this key character of the twentieth century are 2000 letters, diaries, official and private photos, his personal library, autograph scripts of his speeches and of his literary works, and videos. Furthermore, to complement the archive material, an artistic installation realized by Michael Murphy entitled “Il Volto di Che Guevara” based on the re-composition of El Che’s historical photos and an original “soundtrack” composed by Andrea Guerra.
