The 29 Arts In Progress gallery in Milan (Via San Vittore, 139) dedicates the first Italian solo exhibition to the British photographer retracing his successful career during which he edited other magazines in addition to the aforementioned Dazed & Confused (AnOther Man and Hunger), published over 40 books, collaborated with famous magazines (Elle, Esquire, Rolling Stone etc.) and exhibited his images in the most important museums around the world (from the MoMA in New York to the Victoria & Albert Museum in London).

The Milanese exhibition is entitled “Rankin. From Portraiture To Fashion” it is one of a kind, an original and innovative show (open until February 24th), which will undergo several changes of works and installations with the aim of offering the visitors an exhaustive picture of Rankin’s great creativity. In this regard, in addition to his iconic celebrity portraits such as Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Blondie, Björk, Monica Bellucci and Robert Downey Jr. etc. more conceptual and less famous works will also be on display. On November 15th-16th, Rankin will also be present at the gallery for a shooting in which he will work, with a 20 × 24 inch Polaroid, to portray 80 common people.
